I’m Teagan (pronounced Tae-gan), a lover of depth with a passion for healing. I am currently based in “Upstate NY”, On Unceded Hodinöhsö:ni’ Land, of the Seneca Nation near O-neh-da Te-car-ne-o-di (“Rochester, New York + Hemlock Lake). My own ancestors come from Ireland, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Sicily, and North America.
I am an Astrologer, Ritualist, Dancer, Potter & Drum Maker. I have spent over a decade studying various ancient & traditional healing systems, seeking to uncover the thread that weaves them all together. My formal training is as an Ayurvedic Practitioner + Astrologer, with a focus on Herbalism + Subtle Bodywork. I am also an Ancestral Medium + Ritualist, in service of my community.
My work emphasizes restoration of connection to Land, Ancestry + Animist Lifeways as a form of cultural repair. Traditional + Ancestral methods of healing approach the Body as an Ecosystem, knowing that we are intricately connected to the Land, the Ancestors, and the Planets as an inextricable part of own wellbeing.
I believe personal healing is inevitably tied to collective care, which for me includes creating community spaces to explore our own healing processes in the presence of other like-minded kin. Ancestor Circles, Ecstatic Dance + Community Ritual are some of the spaces that I offer in the FLX region.
In regards to ceremonial practice, my path has been informed by gracious teachers from various lineages that I have had the privilege to study under. Namely, Native North American practices of Anishinaabe Ojibwe Lineage, and Mayan traditions of South American Lineage. These teachings deeply inform my own healing philosophies, while I continue to explore traditional Celtic & Levantine practices of my own lineages.
My own path of healing has led me here, to developing a practice & overall life path of deepening exploration into the healing arts. I recognize there is no arrival on this journey; there is always more to learn. I am an eternal student, and this work is my teacher.
